What is Kisspeptin-10
Kisspeptin-10 (also known as Metastin) is the C-terminal decapeptide of the KISS1 precursor and a strong endogenous ligand of GPR54 / KISS1R. In preclinical investigations, it promotes GnRH release, which leads to downstream LH and FSH production, making it a valuable tool in reproductive endocrinology and hypothalamic-pituitary-gonadal (HPG) axis research.
Kisspeptin signaling has also been linked to metabolic regulation, neurobehavioral functions, angiogenesis, and anti-metastatic activities in tumor models.
